Working since 14 years old, I’ve been office boy, video editor also for VHS tapes (old!), school monitor, aspiring model, web designer, etc. I went to college and got an internship at Itau (brazilian biggest bank), stayed there 1 and a half years more or less and realised it was not for me. At least, I’ve learned Microsoft Office suite.
Dropped out of Statistics course in the university because it was too much theory and little practice. I made great friends there and saw that most of the students ended up working with financial industry. But some of them, with Digital Marketing and that’s when it all began.
I got an internship at Direct Performance (current dp6) and there was my college for real. I was pleased to learn from the greats of this market in Brazil today and finally found something to motivate me.
Then, back to university studying Internet Systems. The dp6 staff (and some people that is today in Vitrio) helped me a lot, I will be eternally grateful.
I worked almost three years there and decided to accept the challenge of working in a large advertising agency, DDB Brazil. I stayed there exactly 365 days, also made good friends and learned a lot, mainly to develop my non-technical side, managing people, understanding how the advertising market works and other things.
I left DDB Brazil with plans to start my own consultancy, but the corruption and the various problems that entrepreneurs face in Brasil turned me off.
I always wanted to live abroad, took the time and my freelance clients and moved to Berlin. One reason is the German culture and mentality, which is 7-1 times better in terms of discipline and organization. Furthermore, Berlin became the Silicon Valley of Europe, a lot of nice ideas emerge here.
